Please note that this is a major VIVAshop theme update. VIVAshop was initially built on the CS-Cart “Basic" theme (when CS-Cart default “Responsive” theme was not available), and starting CS-Cart version 4.3.1, the CS-Cart confirmed that the “Basic” theme was deprecated.
Therefore, because the CS-Cart “Basic" theme on which the previous VIVAshop versions were based on will be no longer supported or updated by CS-Cart, the VIVAshop code was completely rewritten and based on the default CS-Cart “Responsive” theme.
Any previous VIVAshop theme files need to be removed from the server in order to use the new theme version, so the updating procedure will not be a regular one. However, unless CS-Cart also deprecates in the future their default Responsive theme, this will be the only time when such procedure will be required to upgrade your store with a new VIVAshop version.

Below you'll find the necessary details in order to update your VIVAshop template. Please make sure you follow all the installation steps EXACTLY the way they are explained. So, let's go ahead!

Please log into your administrator area and navigate to "Add-ons" - "Manage Add-ons".

Press the gear icon near the "EnergoTemes - Category Search" addon and click Uninstall.
Repeat this process and upload the following addons:
- EnergoThemes - IE 9 fix
- EnergoThemes - License
- EnergoThemes - Mega Menu Image
Click on + sign (Upload & install add-on).
In the new window under "Select a file or enter a URL" click on the "Local" button and locate the "addons" folder from your unzipped archive.
Select the file "energothemes_megamenu_image.zip" and click Open.
Click the blue "Upload & install" button.
Repeat this process and upload the following addons:
- "energothemes_search.zip" - for the category search addon.
- "energothemes_ie9fix.zip" - for legacy IE 9 compatibility.
- "energothemes_license.zip" - required for license activation.
- *NEW* "energothemes_vivashop_addon.zip" - required to activate Skin specific functionalities.
Please follow ALL the steps in the EXACT order:
Step 1:
- Log into your administrator area and navigate to "Design" - "Manage Themes".(link)
- Hover over the "Responsive theme: Black" image and click "Activate"
- Click the trash can icon (Remove Theme) near the Vivashop title.
Step 2:
- Using a FTP program navigate to the "var/themes_repository" folder on your server
- Delete the "vivashop" directory from the server

Log into your administrator area and navigate to "Design" – "Themes".(link)

Click on + sign (Upload theme). In the new window under "Select a file or enter a URL" click on the "Local" button and locate the "themes" folder from your unzipped archive.

Select the file "vivashop.zip" and click Open.

Click the blue "Upload" button.

After the upload is complete click the "Browse all available themes" tab.

Hover over the theme picture and click the "Install" button.

After the installation is complete scroll the page until you see the 5 photos of the theme styles.

Hover over the one you wish to use and click "Activate".
Log into your administrator area and navigate to "Administration" – "Import data" - "Translation".

Click on "Language variables" tab.
In the new tab under "Select a file or enter a URL" click on the "Local" button and locate the "languages" folder.
Select the file "vivashop_language_variables.csv" and click Open.
In the upper right side click the blue "Import" button.
Repeat this proccess for the file "vivashop_2.26_language_variables.csv"

Step 1:
Scroll to the "EnergoThemes - License" addon, click on the addon name insert your license number.
In case you forgot your license number, here is reminder on how to get the correct license.
Your license number has the following format:
ET-XXXX (where XXXX is your order ID).
So, for example, if your order ID is 1234 then your license number is ET-1234
NOTE: If you forgot your order ID you may find it by following any of these steps:
- check your email account for the order confirmation e-mail received after purchase
- log into your account on www.energothemes.com, go to My Account and click on Orders
NOTE: If you have multiple theme licenses and are using a single CS-Cart installation with multiple storefronts, please follow these steps to insert a different license number for each storefront:
Make sure you are on the "Add-ons" - "Manage Add-ons" in the administrator interface.

On the top-left side of the page, click the "All Stores" link near the cart icon and select the name of the store for which you want to insert a new license.
Scroll down to the "EnergoThemes - License" addon, click the gear icon and click Settings.
In the new window fill in the "License number" field with the license that belongs to the currently selected store.
Click the blue "Save" button.
Repeat this process for each storefront.
Once all the license numbers have been inserted click the "All stores" button and select "All stores" from the dropdown menu.

Step 2:
Click the link on the right side of the addon and select "Active".
